🎬 DiscoverFather stands at the whiteboard in the living room. He wants to show everyone something. He writes the wine's story three different ways — one for each series.

Father (writing on the whiteboard):

ერთი: "ბაბუა ღვინოს აკეთებს."

erti: "babua ghvinos ak'etebs."

"One: "Grandfather makes wine.""

Father (writing the second line):

ორი: "ბაბუამ ღვინო გააკეთა."

ori: "babuam ghvino gaak'eta."

"Two: "Grandfather made wine.""

Father (writing the third line):

სამი: "ბაბუას ღვინო გაუკეთებია."

sami: "babuas ghvino gauk'etebia."

"Three: "Grandfather has apparently made wine.""

Nino (staring at the board):

ბაბუა... ბაბუამ... ბაბუას! სამი სხვადასხვა დაბოლოება ერთი ადამიანისთვის?!

babua... babuam... babuas! sami skhvadaskhva daboloeba erti adamianistvis?!

"Babua... babuam... babuas! Three different endings for ONE person?!"

Father:

სამი ბრუნვა — სამი სერიისთვის. თითოეული გვეუბნება, როგორი მოქმედია ბაბუა.

sami brunva — sami seriistvis. titoeli gveubneoba, rogori mokmedia babua.

"Three cases — for three series. Each tells us what KIND of participant grandfather is."

Grandfather (looking at the board thoughtfully):

პირველში — მე ვაკეთებ. მეორეში — მე გავაკეთე. მესამეში... ღვინო უბრალოდ არსებობს, და მე — გამოცდილება მაქვს.

p'irvelshi — me vak'eteb. meoreshi — me gavak'ete. mesameshi... ghvino ubralod arsebobs, da me — gamotsdileba makvs.

"In the first — I'm making. In the second — I made it. In the third... the wine simply exists, and I — have the experience."

Mother (pointing at the board):

და ნინო, შეხედე "ბაბუას" — ეს დაბოლოება -ს იცნობ! წერილს, ღვინოს... ობიექტის ბრუნვა! ახლა — სუბიექტისთვის!

da nino, shekhede "babuas" — es daboloeba -s itsnob! ts'erils, ghvinos... obieqt'is brunva! akhla — subieqt'istvis!

"And Nino, look at "ბაბუას" — you KNOW this -ს ending! წერილს, ღვინოს... the object case! Now — for the subject!"

💡The subject's case changes with each series: NOM (actor, doing it now) → ERG (doer, completed it) → DAT (experiencer, has the result). And the dative ending -ს? You've been using it for objects since Lesson 1! Now it marks the subject in Series III.
