Father (uncapping a pen):

კარგი, საკმარისია ლაპარაკი. ახლა ყველაფერს ჩავწერ.

k'argi, sak'marisia lap'arak'i. akhla q'velapers chavts'er.

"Right, enough talking. Now I'll write everything down."

Narrator:

(მამა წერს... წერს... სია მზად არის.)

(mama ts'ers... ts'ers... sia mzad aris.)

"(Father writes... writes... the list is ready.)"

Father (putting the pen down):

მზადაა! ყველაფერი დავწერე.

mzadaa! q'velaperi davts'ere.

"Done! I wrote everything down."

Nino (looking at the notebook, eyes wide):

მამა! დავწერე — ეს დავწერ-ს ჰგავს, მაგრამ ბოლოში -ე არის!

mama! davts'ere — es davts'er-s hgavs, magram boloshi -e aris!

"Dad! "დავწერე" — it looks like "დავწერ" but with -ე at the end!"

Father (smiling):

ჰო! დავწერ — "I will write." დავწერე — "I wrote." ისე მარტივია!

ho! davts'er — "I will write." davts'ere — "I wrote." ise mart'ivia!

"Yes! დავწერ — "I will write." დავწერე — "I wrote." It's that simple!"

Nino:

მაშინ... შენ დაწერე, ბაბუამაც დაწერა?

mashin... shen dats'ere, babuamats dats'era?

"Then... you (შენ) wrote = დაწერე, grandfather wrote = დაწერა?"

Father:

ბრავო! "მე" და "შენ" — -ე. "ის" — -ა. ეს ახალი ბოლოებია!

bravo! "me" da "shen" — -e. "is" — -a. es akhali boloebia!

"Bravo! "I" and "you" get -ე. "He/she" gets -ა. These are the new endings!"

💡Nino spotted the pattern: დავწერ (future, "I will write") → დავწერე (aorist, "I wrote"). Just add -ე! And for "he/she wrote" the ending is -ა instead. The aorist builds directly on the future stem you already know.
