Grandfather (proudly):

ახალ მარანს ვიშენებ!

akhal marans visheneb!

"I'm building myself a new wine cellar!"

Mother (to Nino):

სურათს ვიხატავ ბაღის — ჩემთვის.

surats vikhat'av baghis — chemtvis.

"I'm painting a picture of the garden — for myself."

Father:

გაზეთს ვიწერ — კახეთშიც მინდა სიახლეები.

gazets vits'er — kakhetshits minda siakhlebi.

"I'm subscribing to a newspaper — I want news even in Kakheti."

Nino:

ბაბუა, იშენებ? იხატავ? იწერ? ყველა ერთს აკეთებთ — საკუთარი თავისთვის!

babua, isheneb? ikhat'av? its'er? q'vela erts ak'etebT — sak'utari tavisthvis!

"Grandpa, you build? You paint? You subscribe? Everyone's doing the same — for themselves!"

💡Look at those verbs: ვიშენებ, ვიხატავ, ვიწერ. They all have ი- after the ვ- prefix. And they all mean doing something "for myself." In Module 1, ვაშენებ was "I build (it)." Now ვიშენებ is "I build (it) for myself." One vowel — big difference.
