Grandmother (on her balcony):

ყოველ საღამოს აქ ვზივარ და ქალაქს ვუყურებ.

q'ovel saghamos ak vzivar da kalaks vuq'ureb.

"I sit here every evening and watch the city."

Giorgi (walking past below):

გამარჯობა, ბებია! მაღაზიაში მივდივარ.

gamarjoba, bebia! maghaz'iashi mivdivar.

"Hello, grandma! I'm going to the shop."

Nino (standing at the corner, waiting):

მე აქ ვდგავარ, გიცდი!

me ak vdgavar, gitsdi!

"I'm standing here, waiting for you!"

Grandmother:

ბავშვები ეზოში სხედან, არსად არ მიდიან.

bavshvebi ez'oshi sxedan, arsad ar midian.

"The children are sitting in the yard — they're not going anywhere."

💡Three new verbs: ვზივარ (I sit), მივდივარ (I go), ვდგავარ (I stand). Notice something? All three end in -ვარ for "I." That's ვარ — "I am" from Lesson 1-7! These verbs literally contain "to be" inside them. And look at the grandmother's last line: სხედან for "they sit" — that's a completely different word from ზის...
